Summary

The Merchandise Planner International Key Accounts - e-Commerce is a key member of the IKA planning team and holds responsibility for all retail planning activities within the international B2B e-Commerce team. Reporting to the VP of International B2B e-Commerce, this function will work closely with the other IKA Planner, Planning teams at our key accounts as well as our internal manufacturing planning teams to ensure inventory flows are aligned with business objectives and sell-thru performance of our brands. In addition, the IKA Planning team will work closely with the commercial function to project and provide monthly revenue forecasts. This is a highly interconnected function that will interact regularly with multiple stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operations. The Planner will work with a wide number of team members in our Hoofddorp offices but also in other locations.

Responsibilities

Planning:

  • Responsible for planning optimal inventory flows of our 13+ brands to our key accounts in EMEA and APAC markets
  • Build and provide forecasts from the early stages of product development all the way to end of life cycles.
  • Define and implement inventory planning strategies to maximize sales, margin, and stock management in line with financial goals
  • Influence product status and discontinuation decisions by providing data-based input to product and brand teams as needed.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with key commercial partners and leadership to align with companies G&O’s
  • Propose optimal scenarios to commercial leadership based upon inventory utilization, pricing and promotional activity
  • Build added value relationships with all relevant departments within the Group and at our key partners, including other Planning functions to ensure effective knowledge sharing and process improvement
  • Place enhanced focus on new products or key product initiatives for the e-commerce business
  • Partner with the Key Account Managers, Marketing and Analyst functions to ensure inventory planning supports key initiatives and trends

Reporting:

  • Report and analyze KPI’s against forecast and trends for the weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams to share knowledge and potential efficiencies in ways of working
  • Test and provide feedback on newly created tools and reporting
  • Improve existing planning and merchandising reports
  • Ad hoc analysis depending on business needs

Requirements

  • 3+ years retail planning experience within e-Commerce, preferably working with key leading online players in the fashion and consumer goods industry
  • Knowledge of digital sales KPI’s (including drivers of traffic, performance, and inventory productivity)
  • Strong analytical skills, willingness to work in a team and by objectives with a problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent knowledge of English is necessary, any additional language will be considered as a plus
  • Excellent command of MS Office (and Excel in particular) is required
  • Organized, accurate and consistent, follow up is important
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Is passionate about the work, has a team spirit and is smart
