We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Brand Marketing Director to lead the marketing efforts of Boston Scally, a tight-knit company that specializes in the Scally cap, an updated version of a classic flat cap, and the Boston Scally lifestyle, based on hard-working, blue-collar, fun-and family-loving audiences that go far beyond the city of Boston.

As Brand Marketing Director, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of our marketing strategy, including go-to-market management, consumer and customer communications, brand development and creative execution, partnering with influencers and brand collaborators, and partnering with various stakeholder teams to drive revenue and consumer growth

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Development and Creative Execution: You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our brand image and identity, ensuring that it aligns with our company's vision and resonates with our target audience. This will involve:

  • Managing and iterating brand guidelines
  • Overseeing the design and production of marketing materials
  • Owning the creative direction for all photo and video shoots
  • Coordination of talent, asset procurement and asset handoff.

Go-To-Market Calendar Management: You will lead the management and evolution of our go-to-market calendar, ensuring that it aligns with our brand and business objectives.

This will involve collaborating with various teams, including product design and development, eCommerce, performance marketing and retention marketing, to develop and execute creative assets that will ensure marketing campaigns that drive traffic, increase sales, and enhance consumer engagement.

Marketing Communications: You will be responsible for crafting and implementing our brand voice.

This will involve:

  • Managing on-site messaging
  • Ensuring compelling product descriptions
  • Creating and managing content marketing initiatives,
  • Overseeing storytelling and messaging hierarchy for email, SMS, and direct mail campaigns.

You will also be responsible for overseeing our social media creative and ensuring that our messaging is consistent and engaging.

Partner Marketing: You will be responsible for identifying and connecting with brand partners. This includes influencers and product design collaborators that build social connectivity and energy into our brand marketing. You will partner with our public relations resources to conduct outreach and secure brand partners, aligned with seasonal assortment calendars and omnichannel business plans.

Partnering with Performance Marketing and Analytics Teams: You will work closely with our performance marketing and analytics teams to develop and execute data-driven marketing initiatives.

This will involve:

  • Analyzing marketing performance data,
  • Identifying trends
  • Opportunities to improve our creative execution
  • Making data-informed and fact-based recommendations to optimize marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the retail or consumer products industry
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful marketing strategy
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and coaching a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
  • Creative thinker with ability to generate innovative ideas
  • Familiarity with performance marketing, analytics, and eCommerce
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
