About This Position:

We are looking for a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Operator who will be a key liaison between sales and manufacturing by creating drawings for customer approval and equipment cut files to use on laser manufacturing tools.

  • Location: Remote. (Required to work from any location within the USA.)
  • Reports to: Director of Operations
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $19.00 – 21.00 (Experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
  • Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours, M-F, 7:00am – 3:30pm. (Some flexibility with start/end time.)

What You’ll Do:

  • Efficiently nest product to be cut out of sheet stock.
  • Interpret customer requests information for custom product and draws from scratch.
  • Modify existing designs to meet customer needs.
  • Support production operations in other means as needed, including inventory.
  • Review and update existing drawing files.
  • Create new spec sheets for new products.
  • Support new product development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Vocational degree, college degree, technical school diploma, or equivalent education required.
  • 2+ years working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD.
  • 2+ years working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Trumpf-Laser programing tool.
  • Able to be productive and be trained while working with a mentor.
  • Aptitude for learning. Able to apply what has been learned quickly and accurately.
  • Flexible personality, able to keep up with constantly changing deliverable priorities.
  • Handle pressure and be able to stay focused on and attentive to project delivery deadlines.
  • Be willing and able to work overtime (OT) when required. Overtime rates will apply.
