About the Role:
We are looking for a Demand Planner to join the Supply Chain team supporting the proprietary Fresca brand for Decor Planet. This person will leverage data and predictive analytics to drive purchasing decisions and continuously optimize inventory, as well as support building the weekly, monthly, and annual plans which will guide the direction of Decor Planet’s multi-channel growth plan. This is a unique opportunity to be a member of a growing organization beginning to build tools and processes to set the organization on a path to greater efficiency and stability. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of supply and demand planning principles, experience working on strict deadlines, and a desire to continuously improve processes and tools.
The role will also involve communication with teams in Asia which will require weekly calls outside of normal business hours to accommodate time zone differences.
- Location: 100% Remote. (Required to work from any location within the USA.)
- Reports to: Director Demand Planning & Supply Chain Management @ Renovation Brands; dotted line reporting to General Manager of Decor Planet.
- Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 (experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
Responsibilities:
Pre-Season:
- Partner with the merchandising team to develop annual and seasonal financial plans that support the Fresca brand strategies.
- Analyze Fresca business performance, SKU productivity, trends and provide insights to identify opportunities and drive pre-season strategy and assortment plans.
- Partner with merchandising team to establish seasonal assortment roll up plans, both top down and SKU level to ensure optimal balance of inventory of newness and core business which satisfy brand and company plan sales and merchandising strategies.
- Manage successful placement and accurate tracking of purchase orders.
In-Season:
- Maintain dynamic open to buy to inform sales and receipt forecasting and performance to sales and inventory budgets.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels to support brand strategy, minimize stock outs and manage inventory flow to ensure appropriate in-stock rates are achieved for core product and seasonal launches.
- Provide analysis and collaborate with merchandising team to build promotional calendar which maximizes EBITA; facilitate SKU exit strategies; accurately forecast monthly promotional plans that support sales, margin, and inventory goals achievement.
- Oversee placement and tracking of Fresca brand purchase orders in collaboration with Supply Chain Analyst and identify solutions to resolve fall out.
- Collaborate with continuous improvement team to optimize stock balance across two regional warehouses.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Analyst, logistics and distribution functions to identify and resolve supply chain and shipment timeline issues.
- Collaborate with supply chain agent based in Asia on placement and processing.
- Proactively evaluate reporting, tools, and process flow to assess and give recommendations where improvements can be made.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of professional experience in a role with analytical/strategic responsibilities – retail industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Possess strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (eg. Formulas, Pivot tables, V-Lookup/X-lookup, etc.) is a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI preferred.
- Excellent written communication skills and follow through via multiple channels (email, Team, WeChat, etc.).
- Meticulous and detail-oriented with strong follow through.
- Ability to work in a remote, fast paced, and collaborative environment.
- Able to deliver results by influencing internal and external partners.
