Marketplace Sales Specialist

About the Role:

Responsible for driving the growth of Marketplace and Wholesale channels (Amazon, Wayfair, wholesale, etc.) by delivering improved sell-through, market share improvement, increased average order value and brand awareness as well as provide a positive shopping experience for customers.

  • Location: 100% Remote. (Required to work from any location within the USA.)
  • Reports to: Sr. Manager - Merchandising @ Renovation Brands.
  • Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 (experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
  • Annual Discretionary Bonus: bonus eligibility to be determined.

Responsibilities:

Marketplace Management

  • Monitor listings, orders and sales from various sales platforms including but not limited to Amazon, Wayfair, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
  • Update and manage product listings, checking for accuracy in pricing, description/copy, and product availability
  • Develop product descriptions and keyword research for optimal performance in multiple marketplaces
  • Track website sales and develop ways to improve sales through marketing and/or product pricing
  • Proactively identify product, service and marketplace issues and resolve them accordingly
  • Identify processes and develop best practices for data exchange
  • Stay up to date with the latest category trends

Customer Service

  • Respond to customer emails, phone calls, and inquires in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist in the development of customer service policies and procedures
  • Assist with the placement of customer orders, refunds or replacements, order processing, fulfillment and shipping as needed
  • Oversee all orders being shipped by ensuring they are accurate and shipped efficiently

Inventory Management

  • Manage product inventory and maintain competitive pricing throughout various marketplaces
  • Understand product inventory, analyze sales trends and communicate needs with appropriate individuals
  • Assist the inventory team with demand planning and forecasting
  • Assist in the development of strategies for pricing, inventory management and others

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in an e-commerce sales role required.
  • Experience with and/or thorough understanding of e-commerce experience with selling on Amazon, Wayfair, wholesale, or other related marketplace preferred.
  • Experience creating and managing listings and selling products in various online marketplaces.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing functions beyond merchandising including marketing and analytics.
  • Experience developing product description and keyword research for marketplace.
  • Experience providing online customer service and an understanding of the importance that customer satisfaction and feedback have on ability to succeed on amazon.
  • Microsoft Office skills including Excel with knowledge of key functions and working with large data sets.
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently.
  • Possess technical aptitude and able to learn new technologies.
