Sales Representative

Brand: American Tin Ceilings

About the Role:

Receive inbound customer calls and identify their interest in products. Proactively engage existing accounts and customers to facilitate lifetime value. Counsel customers on product selection by answering inquiries and recommending product selection. Guide customer from initial contact to close of sale. Advise customers on the cost-effective benefits of the various products and ensure customer satisfaction.

Location: Remote or Bradenton, FL.

Non-exempt: Hourly. Overtime paid beyond 40 hours.

Base Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hr. (PLUS Sales Commission)

Schedule: Full-time. 40 hours. Primarily M-F. Available for some evenings and weekends.

Reports To: General Manager of American Tin Ceilings brand.


Customer Inquiries and Sales

  • Influence sales by managing inbound customer inquiries.
  • Handle customer calls in a professional and personable manner.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to customer inquiries via telephone, email, and chat.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly quotas.

Customer Orders

  • Deliver precise and prompt estimates to customers with proactive follow up to secure the sale.
  • Monitor order status to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Navigate company specific system, NetSuite, to enter estimates, orders, and document sales inquiries.
  • Set up and maintain accurate records and notes in NetSuite.
  • Computer data entry for orders or sales.

Customer Service

  • Report trends related to sales questions, product specifications, and customer desires.
  • Complete ad hoc projects and tasks related to sales/product issues.
  • Collaborate with Resolutions, Operations, Accounting and other departments in regard to timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Report website problems and inconsistencies.

Product Knowledge

  • Stay informed and knowledgeable on all assigned products.
  • Identify cost-effective benefits of various products.
  • Correspond with suppliers on product issues and needs.


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years sales experience.
  • Proficient computer, typing data entry skills.
  • Established sales skills and proven sales record.
  • Customer service oriented, with the ability to meet sales goals.
  • Ability and willingness to work on weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
