Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Ecommerce to drive high-intent leads to our sales team by owning and optimizing our site experience, paid search and social performance, SEO strategy, and organic social presence. This role will be instrumental in scaling our digital marketing efforts while maintaining cost efficiency and improving conversion rates.
In this role, you will lead a small team of offshore and contract resources to execute and enhance our marketing strategies. You’ll play a key role in refining our digital presence, leveraging data-driven experimentation, and optimizing our customer acquisition and retention strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a blend of marketing and technical expertise, capable of scaling performance marketing while optimizing CPL and CAC. They should have experience with lead-based businesses, direct-to-consumer marketing, and WordPress-based site management. This role is hands-on and requires strong project management, team leadership, and data-driven decision-making skills.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Growth Strategy
- Lead paid search and social media campaigns across platforms, optimizing CPL, CAC, and lead funnel performance.
- Oversee SEO strategy, improving organic search rankings and driving qualified traffic.
- Develop and execute customer retention marketing programs to increase repeat purchases.
- Manage A/B testing programs across paid media, email, and web experiences to optimize performance.
- Analyze customer data and lead funnel metrics to identify new growth opportunities.
Website & Technology Management
- Oversee website redesign and user experience optimization, improving conversion rates.
- Manage the marketing technology stack, ensuring accurate tracking of leads, conversions, and customer behavior.
- Collaborate on integrating AI-driven lead forms, checkout flows, and new website functionalities.
- Support site consolidation efforts, optimizing and merging multiple brand sites for efficiency.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead a team of ~4 offshore and contract resources, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Provide clear direction and oversight to marketing and technology teams, fostering a culture of data-driven experimentation and continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with external contractors for web development, paid media execution, and CRO testing.
- Bridge marketing, technology, and customer service, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
Key Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in marketing technology, growth marketing, or product management in a lead-based or D2C business.
- Expertise in paid search (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) and paid social (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with SEO, site optimization, and conversion rate optimization.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress, Google Analytics, and marketing automation platforms.
- Experience managing offshore teams, contractors, or remote cross-functional teams.
- Ability to execute and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in technical product management, e-commerce marketing, or SaaS-based marketing technology.
- Familiarity with Zoho CRM, marketing automation, and third-party integrations.
- Prior experience with A/B testing frameworks and web personalization tools.
- Website migration and platform consolidation experience is a plus.
