Job Overview:
The Sr Manager of FP&A will serve as a strategic financial leader and thought partner to the CFO and executive team. This individual will oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI development, and strategic financial planning efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on environment, bringing a blend of financial rigor, business insight, and the ability to scale processes within a PE-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring alignment with company goals and investor expectations.
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models to support strategic planning, M&A evaluation, and scenario analysis.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and dashboards, offering insights on performance, trends, and variances.
- Partner with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to drive performance improvement through actionable data.
- Analyze and monitor key metrics and KPIs; develop tools to improve data visibility and decision-making.
- Collaborate with the private equity sponsors to support reporting, board presentations, and value creation initiatives.
- Drive improvements in planning systems, processes, and controls to support scalability and operational excellence.
- Support working capital management, pricing strategies, margin optimization, and other key initiatives.
- Mentor and develop a small team as the function scales with business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, ideally within manufacturing, distribution, or CPG sectors.
- Experience working in or with private equity-backed businesses strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and implement scalable FP&A processes in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and business partnering skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or similar tools).
