Job Overview:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and monitors the flow of products through the complete production cycle. Provides timely planning and scheduling of manufacturing work orders to the manufacturing floor in order to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.

Job Requirements:

1. Develop and implement daily and weekly production schedules and targets

2. Create a timeline for manufacturing that includes all tasks and when they should be completed by

3. Manage production life-cycle from order inception to finished good

4. Ensure production teams meet critical deadlines

5. Balance existing labor and machine capacity to maximize efficiency and production throughput

6. Examine all aspects of the scheduling process, including historical data, to improve production processes wherever possible

7. Report to the leadership team regarding existing orders, challenges, and production forecasting

8. Optimize workflows and lean-level schedule production triggers

9. Analyze production performance for areas of improvement

10. Ensure the needs for raw materials, equipment, and manpower, and ensuring they are available when needed

11. Creating status and performance reports to present to managers

Requirements
  • High-Level of knowledge of production and manufacturing practices
  • Ability to coordinate multiple work functions within a manufacturing cell
  • Ability to maintain organized records
  • Proficiency with cell-based manufacturing methods
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
