Job Summary: The Inventory and Supply Chain Senior Associate is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company's inventory management and supply chain operations. This role ensures that the movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses and ultimately to customers is efficient, cost-effective, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. The sr. associate, Inventory & Supply Chain will lead a team, collaborate across departments, and drive improvements in inventory processes, forecasting, procurement, logistics, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

· Monitor Inventory Levels: Oversee the organization and tracking of inventory to ensure products are available as needed, avoiding stockouts or overstocking situations.

· Forecast Demand: Analyze sales data, historical trends, and market conditions to forecast inventory requirements accurately.

· Replenishment Coordination: Work with purchasing and suppliers to maintain proper stock levels, ensuring that the right quantities of goods are ordered and delivered on time.

· Inventory Audits and Cycle Counting: Conduct regular cycle counts and full audits to ensure that inventory data is accurate, and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

· Inventory Optimization: Implement strategies to reduce carrying costs and improve stock turnover while maintaining sufficient stock levels for operations.

Supply Chain Management

· Procurement Oversight: Collaborate with the procurement team to manage supplier relationships, negotiate prices, ensure quality, and address any issues with supply delays or quality concerns.

· Logistics and Distribution Coordination: Oversee the transportation and delivery of goods, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effective logistics solutions. Manage shipping, warehousing, and distribution channels.

· Supply Chain Optimization: Analyze the entire supply chain process, identify inefficiencies, and implement best practices to improve speed, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance.

· Risk Management: Proactively monitor potential disruptions in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks (e.g., supply shortages, shipping delays).

Operations and Process Improvement

· Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory and supply chain processes to increase efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize operational costs.

· Technology Integration: Implement and manage inventory management and supply chain software systems (e.g., IMS, ERP, WMS) to ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.

· Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with sales, finance, production, and warehouse teams to ensure alignment on inventory needs, forecasted demands, and timely product availability.

Reporting and Performance Monitoring

· Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop, monitor, and report on critical KPIs such as inventory turnover rates, order accuracy, on-time deliveries, and supply chain cost management.

· Budget Management: Assist with creating and managing the supply chain budget, ensuring operations are cost-effective and within financial constraints.

· Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to inventory discrepancies, delayed shipments, or vendor problems. Work on corrective actions to ensure continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

· Team Supervision: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of inventory and supply chain professionals, ensuring that goals are met and operations run smoothly.

· Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and guidance to team members on best practices, new technologies, and supply chain trends.

· Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and ensure a motivated and productive team.

Skills and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

· 3+ years of experience in inventory management and supply chain operations.

· Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory control systems, and logistics management.

· Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).

· Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.

· Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

Working Conditions:

· Full-time, based in an office or warehouse environment.

· Occasional travel to suppliers, warehouses, or distribution centers may be required.

· Some physical activity may be necessary (e.g., visiting warehouses, conducting stock counts).
