About This Position:

The Warehouse & Fulfillment Supervisor – VCU & Madelyn Carter leads all daily fulfillment and warehouse operations for Vent Covers Unlimited and Madelyn Carter in Florence, Alabama. This is a hands-on supervisory role responsible for accurate, on-time parcel fulfillment of customer orders, inbound receiving, inventory accuracy, and the day-to-day leadership of the VCU warehouse team.

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Fulfillment & Warehouse Operations, the Warehouse Supervisor operates with autonomy in daily execution while serving as the primary escalation point for the VCU associate team. This role also coordinates shared operational resources with HB operations where applicable.

  • Location: Helton Drive, Florence, AL. On-site.
  • Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.
  • Shift: 1st shift, M-F, 40 hours per week.

What You’ll Do:

Daily Operations and Order Fulfillment

  • Lead daily pick, pack, and ship operations for VCU and Madelyn Carter parcel orders.
  • Ensure orders are shipped accurately, on time, and in compliance with carrier and SLA requirements.
  • Manage inbound receiving, put-away, and replenishment workflows for VCU inventory.
  • Coordinate with Returns/QA function for VCU returns processing.
  • Flex workforce assignments in response to daily order volume and priorities.

Team Leadership

  • Directly supervise Warehouse Associates and the Replenishment Operator / Material Handling Associate for VCU operations.
  • Lead shift start-up meetings, set daily expectations, and provide real-time coaching.
  • Conduct associate performance reviews and provide feedback in partnership with the Sr. Director.
  • Support onboarding and training of new VCU team members.

Inventory and Accuracy

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through daily cycle count participation and location integrity management.
  • Identify and communicate discrepancies, damage, or shortages to the Sr. Director.
  • Ensure pick locations are properly stocked and replenishment is executed proactively.

Safety and Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards and OSHA compliance on the VCU floor.
  • Conduct safety observations and report incidents per established protocols.
  • Maintain clean, organized aisles and storage areas at all times.

Systems and Communication

  • Operate WMS/order management systems to manage VCU daily workflow and shipment processing.
  • Provide daily performance updates to the Sr. Director with accuracy, volume, and escalations.
  • Coordinate with HB Operations Manager on shared resources including the Returns/QA associate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years as a supervisor or lead in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
  • 4+ years of warehouse or fulfillment experience.
  • Hands-on experience with parcel fulfillment operations (pick, pack, ship).
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven eCommerce fulfillment environment.
  • Proficiency with WMS, order management, or shipping platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under volume pressure.
  • Team-first leadership approach with clear, direct communication skills.
  • Experience with small-parcel (USPS, UPS, FedEx) fulfillment operations.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce brand operations or DTC product fulfillment.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to be trained.

Physical Requirements

  • On-site, hands-on role in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods
