About the Role:

Join our dynamic warehouse team in a full-time role, where you'll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. You'll manage records, prepare shipments, and ensure everything moves accurately and on time. From inspecting and packing to coordinating daily schedules, your attention to detail and organizational skills will help drive success. If you possess solid Microsoft Office and online portal skills within the home goods industry, this is the role for you!

• Location: Florence, AL
• Reports to: Warehouse Manager
• Hourly Rate: $17.00 - $20.00 (experience & interview performance will determine actual number within the range).
• Shift: Full time, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Monday - Friday.

Responsibilities:

Clerical and Record Management

• Prepare documents to route incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure all required data is provided; give feedback to appropriate personnel for missing data supplied by other departments.
• Maintain highly organized records for quick reference when needed.
• Provide information by answering questions and requests related to warehouse activities.

Packing and Shipping

• Examine contents and compare with records to verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage and reject or document appropriately.
• Perform final visual inspection, verification and count prior to freight departing.
• Document any shortages and correspond with appropriate personnel regarding such issues.

• Prepare new inventory worksheets, when applicable.
• Orchestra the daily shipping timetable to ensure all shipments are prepared in time for carriers while keeping the supervisor abreast of any possible bottleneck or potential failure for the day.
• Prepare, in part or in whole, items to be shipped including picking, packing, staging, and labeling.
• Use hand trucks and other warehouse equipment as needed to move or convey shipments to staging, storing or work areas.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 3+ years of similar work experience.
• Must-have: advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Must-have: prior experience online portals within the home goods space.
• Knowledge of warehouse procedures and familiarity with freight industry.
• Knowledge of safety standards.
• Possess organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to work occasional weekend and/or evening work, as needed.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly each day.
