Associate Planner

Uno Alla Volta is looking for an Associate Planner to join the Planning and Inventory team to support developing seasonal merchandise plans, monitoring in-season performance, and ensuring optimal inventory flow across categories. This role partners closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to analyze data, track inbound orders, and make recommendations that improve profitability and stock health. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment that values creativity, curiosity, and collaboration.


Responsibilities for this position, include but are not limited to:

Pre-Season and Financial Planning

  • Support the creation of seasonal sales, margin, and inventory plans by category.
  • Translate assortment and marketing strategies into financial forecasts and demand plans.
  • Build and maintain planning tools and spreadsheets to manage projections, open-to-buy, and event curves.
  • Parter with Merchandising team to model SKU-level forecasts, color/size breakouts, and initial allocations.

Vendor and Inventory Management

  • Drive PO creation, revisions, and cancellations based on in-season trends and inventory position.
  • Partner with vendors to confirm ship windows, resolve late or incomplete deliveries, and maintain up-to-date inbound visibility.
  • Track replenishment needs, maintaining a continuous view of core and carryover inventory.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to align on stock flow, fulfillment timing, and vendor compliance expectations.

In-Season Forecasting and Analysis

  • Monitor sales, margin, and inventory performance versus plan on a daily, weekly,
    and monthly cadence.
  • Analyze sales and stock data to identify risks, trends, and opportunities;
    communicate insights and recommended actions to Planning Manager and
    cross-functional partners.
  • Adjust forecasts as needed based on sell-through, receipt flow, and vendor lead
    times to maximize sales and minimize excess inventory.
  • Support weekly business recaps, providing data-driven insights and forward
    recommendations.
  • Partner with Supply Chain on inbound tracking, vendor follow-up, and on-time
    delivery performance.

Reporting and Data Integrity

  • Maintain accurate reporting and data integrity across all planning tools, ensuring
    inputs align with ERP and PO systems.
  • Create and distribute weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports,
    highlighting performance vs. plan and recommending next steps.
  • Ensure timely updates to financial and inventory projections for leadership
    visibility.
  • Audit data regularly for accuracy, ensuring clean information flow between
    merchandising, supply chain, and finance.

Post-Season and Hindsight

  • Partner with Merchandising to support the development of post-season
    hindsight analyses by category, vendor, and product type.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in retail planning, inventory management, or allocation (preferably in apparel, home, or gift industries) is required.
  • Experience working with purchase order systems and vendor communications is required.
  • Experience working with ERP or planning systems is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas) is required.
  • Ability to thrive in a creative, entrepreneurial, and collaborative environment.
  • Shopify experience is beneficial but not required.
